The hotly-anticipated InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort will open its doors on September 1st, the posh hotel group has confirmed.

Located in the southern tip of Raa Atoll, the accommodation is really a 35-minute seaplane flight from Male Airport terminal, that will offer guests the chance to experience the Maldives in most its glory before they have even arrived.

The property’s 81 villas and residences can be found on the beachfront, the lagoon and built on stilts over the water. Each includes its own private terrace and pool while offering unobstructed views over the Indian Ocean.

As the first InterContinental property in the Maldives, its opening is going to be marked using the simultaneous launch of the new All-Club InterContinental experience.

This service sets a brand new standard of luxury for that brand by offering guests thoughtfully elevated personalized service and exclusive benefits throughout the island, including complimentary gourmet experiences.

Speaking of gourmet experiences, the resort will feature six gastronomic concepts such as the Retreat, an adults-only escape having a water-side infinity pool and an opulent private bar.

The hotel has been made to make sure guests are never a long way away in the natural environment, and that includes the signature AVI Spa. It consists of six overwater treatment villas, each allowing guests to take stunning views.

In an effort to help keep the resort’s surrounding environment in pristine condition, InterContinental Maldives has partnered with Manta Trust in support of the Maldivian Manta Ray Project, which aims to nurture a safe habitat for all wildlife on the archipelago.

The resort has become accepting bookings for stays with opening privileges from September 1 2020 until 31 January 2020 via intercontinental.com/maldives.
