The year is winding down with only some more weeks left of 2020. Some people are most likely excited to see 2020 go, we remain hopeful about what 2020 could bring for all of us. It's right around this time around of the year that individuals are starting to reflect on the year and select New Year's Resolutions on their own. As i, myself, tried away with New Year's Resolutions years ago and instead replaced it having a yearly bucket list, this season, I'm doing things a little differently. I made a decision to bring back the brand new Year's Resolution, but rather than for myself, it's things i hope for humanity.
- Respecting one another more.
The world has always were built with a difference of opinion, however it appears as if it's become more apparent in 2020. Much more so, we allow that to become a bigger problem than we should've allow it to become. In 2020, I hope that we can respect one another more, no matter each other's opinions on politics, religion, and other beliefs. I hope that we can form opinions of others regardless of their stance in those situations and not let that cloud our judgment because our beliefs don't always define us in general. It's my hope that we can see one another for what we actually are: people. Because we all deserve love, kindness, and respect. Let’s reconsider the way we treat others and ensure we're treating them the very best we can.
- Telling each other the things they mean to us.
The aspect of life is it's unpredictable and you will don't know without a doubt so what can happen. My wish is the fact that we understand that sooner rather than later, and take time to tell one another how we feel. Let our families know how much we like them. Tell our friends how much they mean to all of us. When we do that more often, perhaps a lot of us won't be left with as many regrets when life decides to behave unpredictable.
- Not being afraid to love.
I hope that in 2020, we aren't afraid to like who you want to love. That we'll be able to do so without anxiety about judgment or not being loved back. I hope that we will provide our all without worrying about getting hurt, and then not looking back. In 2020, we should be in a position to put ourselves out there and go for what we should want.
- Not being afraid to become loved.
My wish for humanity in 2020 is the fact that we're able to forget all of the negative things we think of ourselves and open ourselves as much as love. Hopefully we're able to pull ourselves from that hole that we've secluded ourselves in, forgetting that we think that we do not deserve it. Let's sort out our commitment issues and let someone else love us, even when it's the scariest thing we have ever do. Surrender our instincts to operate and just opt for it.
- Having the courage to let go and then leave behind the folks and stuff that can be harmful for all of us.
It's difficult to forget about stuff that we spent a lot time and effort on. Hopefully we are able to realize a lost cause when we see one and also have the courage to put it behind us and never look back. I wish that we're capable of seeing to live in that people deserve better, and then aren't afraid to do something about it. I hope that we are able to possess the courage to begin over and not let negative experiences hinder our journeys.
- Having the courage to follow along with our dreams.
I hope that in 2020, we are brave enough to follow along with our dreams, even when it isn't practical or expected. That we're in a position to discard our back-up in exchange for pursuing things we thought were impossible. I hope that we aren't dissuaded by others within our lives and that we're strong enough to do want you want to do instead of what we're expected to do – that we are okay with straying in the beaten path and heading off into the unknown.
- Being brave enough to stand up for what's right.
2020 would be a year that saw a lot of division in America and humanity. In 2020, I hope that we are brave enough to face up for the peers, even if we, ourselves, are not directly affected. I hope that we are able to have each other's backs, not because our very own lives are at stake, but since it is the right thing to complete. My wish is the fact that we can put differences aside – race, gender, orientation, and ethnicity – and stand together. When we're confronted with doing what's right and what's easy, I really hope we choose what's right. And when that's way too hard to do, I hope we could find a compromise forwards and backwards.
Maybe my hopes really are a little far-fetched then one that we can't achieve in only one year. However, I believe that 2020 is a great time to start working towards that. It's the perfect time starting taking care of ourselves and each other. There's seven billion of us in the world and it's time we start acting like it. Nothing happens in vacuum pressure, and what transpires with others affects us, too. We're all in this together.
